Effective Skills In Networking For Marketing Purposes
You probably have no trouble finding the obvious prospects for your network marketing business. What if I told you that there were dozens of prospects you encounter every day but don’t even notice? Don’t feel badly. Learning how to spot prospects is a bit of an art.
You have to seize every opportunity, every day. You’ll find plenty of prospects that way but it takes work and dedication.
The key to your future business success is something called the 5 foot rule. It sounds silly, but it really works. What you do is this: when you are out and about, you talk to anyone who is standing within five feet of you. Talk about anything briefly, the weather, how long the line is, doesn’t matter. Just don’t be shy, you have to make the first move.
After you have broken the ice, gauge whether they seem receptive to ongoing conversation. Ask a question like “what do you do for a living?” Depending on how they respond, see if you can’t continue the conversation. They may hint, or even outright state, that they are ready for a new opportunity to come along.
If they note that they are receptive to new opportunities, try a line like “I have something I think you might want to look at. Would you be interested?” Your next move is to give them some sort of tool such as a website or a reference. If you can, get their card so you can call them with more information.
If you do this regularly you will find that you come across literally dozens of opportunities every day. Can you imagine how that might build your business? Even if you only talk to 5 new people each day it would be a big difference.
If you spoke to even five new people each day, how do you think that would affect your network marketing business? You’d have a lot more prospects in line that is for sure! Your business would take off exponentially. They might even refer their friends to you as well.
Try it! The next time you are out, use the 5 foot rule. Talk to people. Your network marketing prospects will grow practically overnight. You’ll be amazed at what this does for your revenue.
